Why isn't WebP accepted everywhere if it's a smaller file format? WebP compresses better than JPEG at the same visual quality, but a number of older devices, some government and banking portals, older email clients, and certain design/print tools still only accept JPEG or PNG. Converting to JPG is the safest option when you're not sure what a specific upload form supports.
Will converting WebP to JPG reduce image quality? There's a small quality trade-off since JPEG uses a different compression method, but at 80-90% quality the difference is generally not visible to the eye. If the original WebP has transparency, note that JPG doesn't support transparency — transparent areas will be filled with white.
Can I convert multiple WebP images at once? This tool handles one file at a time for full control over quality settings. If you need to convert many images in one go, use the Bulk Image Resizer, which supports batch processing.
